Replying to @Umamgobhozi toxic parenting is when you leap straight to punishment without explaining, you set restrictions for no reason, you bully and belittle your kid rather than letting things go, you refuse to recognize improved behavior, you use violence or excessive punishments, etc. My dad explained the situation, refused to argue endlessly with a tantrum, demonstrated his point, improved the child’s behavior, and let it go.
