Sunderland head coach Regis Le Bris has opened up on the conversation that he held with Leeds United goalkeeper Illan Meslier following the stopper’s costly error in Friday night’s 2-2 draw at the Stadium of Light.

When Leeds were in possession Tanaka and Joe Rothwell looked a good back-up midfield partnership with a dangerous passing range but as they had at 0-0, Sunderland players were able to get strikes off from the edge of the area in too much space at the end of the half.

Both the Clarets and the Black Cats are predicted to finish in the play-off spots narrowly behind Middlesbrough who are third favourites. West Brom, who held Leeds to a stalemate at The Hawthorns already this season, are expected to round out the top six with a decent prospect of a return to the Premier League.
