The Seattle Mariners agreed to a trade for Arizona Diamondbacks third baseman Eugenio Suarez. The two-time All-Star hit 36 home runs through 105 games in 2025.

The Mariners had traded away Eugenio Suarez in November 2023. It was a move made with salary in mind, with Suarez due about $15 million across 2024-25. The Arizona Diamondbacks gladly dealt for Suarez then, happy to pick up a power hitter in exchange for what even then felt like a fair price.

The Mariners are acquiring the third baseman in a trade with the Diamondbacks, The Post’s Jon Heyman confirmed. In return, the Diamondbacks are getting three prospects: first baseman Tyler Locklear and right-handed pitchers Hunter Cranton and Juan Burgos, MLB.com reported.
