Metaphor: ReFantazio, the upcoming fantasy political drama RPG from Atlus, is only a few days away from its October 11 release date. Broadly, the game takes the social sim and time management mechanics of the Persona series and fine-tunes them to make a truly exceptional RPG that represents a step forward for the studio in a lot of ways.

ReFantazio is the first original game from Atlus' new Studio Zero, but it fails to bring much that sets it apart from the Persona franchise.

But even Thorn's review is ultimately pretty positive, and it looks like Studio Zero has continued its string of back to back JRPG dingers. Metaphor: ReFantazio will launch later this week on October 10, and you can wishlist it or check out its demo on Steam.
