Texas sought help from actor Glen Powell to present a surprise to walk-on linebacker Marshall Landwehr. Longhorns head coach Steve Sarkisian introduced a video of Powell announcing that Landwehr was being awarded a scholarship for his efforts on the field.

Glen Powell is showing his love for his alma mater by surprising a fifth year senior walk-on from the University of Texas, Austin with a full scholarship.

AUSTIN, Texas — Texas Longhorns linebacker Marshall Landwehr learned about his scholarship this week from actor and Austin native Glen Powell. “Marshall, your hard work has not gone unnoticed,” Powell said in a recorded message played out during a UT Football meeting.
