LOUISVILLE, Ky. - After taking care of Arizona in their previous College World Series matchup, the Louisville baseball program now gets another crack at No. 8 Oregon State, facing them in the CWS' 1-1 elimination game.

OMAHA, Nebr. (WAVE) - The Louisville baseball team is looking to keep its season alive in Omaha Tuesday and to do so, it’ll have to avenge its College World Series opening night loss to Oregon State.

The 2025 Men's College World Series kicked off Friday, with No. 13 Coastal Carolina earning the first win of the tournament over Arizona and No. 8 Oregon State outlasting Louisville. Oregon State had a win in hand entering the ninth inning, and didn't let some misadventures stop them from advancing in the winner's bracket.
