A potent atmospheric river will continue to wring out heavy rain in parts of California and the Southwest, leading to flash flooding and the potential for debris flows in areas recently burned by wildfires,

Heavy rain led to flooding on a stretch of the northbound 710 Freeway in Long Beach on Saturday afternoon, prompting a SigAlert and traffic delays.

Evacuation warnings have been issued for communities near burn scars including the Eaton Fire area, Palisades, Hurst and Sunset Fire burn zones.
