Defenceman Darnell Nurse has been a full participant in training camp so far but has been unable to step into a game due to a nagging injury he suffered last season. Luckily, it sounds like Nurse is getting healthier and a return to the Oilers’ lineup could be right around the corner.

The regular season is almost here, and the Oilers' roster reflects that. They're sending sixteen projected regulars to Seattle tonight for their penultimate game of the pre-season, including the entire top nine forwards, five of six defencemen, and their starting netminder.

The Oilers traded for Emberson in August, sending Nurse's former linemate Cody Ceci to San Jose. Emberson talked about the opportunity to take on a top-four role that is in front of him all of a sudden after relocating from California to Canada.
