Brighton has signed one striker and loaned out another on the final day of the transfer window on the back of its heaviest ever Premier League defeat.

West Ham United have signed Brighton & Hove Albion forward Evan Ferguson on loan until the end of the season. Ferguson, 20, will be reunited at West Ham with head coach Graham Potter, who managed him at the start of his career at Brighton.

Brighton & Hove Albion are set to complete the signing of striker Stefanos Tzimas from FC Nurnberg. A fee of £20million with add-ons has been agreed and the 19-year-old has completed a medical. Brighton’s interest in Tzimas was reported by The Athletic in mid-January.
