Since returning, Perry has been relatively quiet compared to her co-passenger, journalist Gayle King, who defended her decision to go on the Blue Origin flight. On April 29, she finally addressed the controversy in a comment under a fan account's post showcasing a billboard in Times Square, congratulating her on the start of her Lifetimes Tour.
