Smoke from wildfires burning in Canada has caused air quality alerts for parts of New York state, including New York City.

Hazy skies descend over the New York City area again on Tuesday, re-upping some air quality alerts related to Canadian wildfire smoke. As of 9 a.m., the air quality index was 118, which is considered unhealthy for sensitive groups.

On Tuesday morning, New York City had the ninth-worst air quality in the world, thanks in large part to the wildfire smoke from Canada.
