After a poaching frenzy that’s brought in talent from rival firms like OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google, Zuckerberg announced a team of nearly two dozen researchers in an internal memo.

Mark Zuckerberg has officially revealed the team members of Meta’s new “superintelligence” division, following a months-long recruitment drive. Facebook’s parent company successfully poached seven researchers from OpenAI, two from Google DeepMind, one from Anthropic, and one from Sesame, an artificial intelligence hardware company.

The new organization, called Meta Superintelligence Labs, will house Meta’s fundamental AI research team, also known as FAIR; the team that currently builds the company’s Llama models; and the team that develops Meta’s AI products—as well as a new lab focused on “developing the next generation of our models.”
