Before they head to the moon in 2026, the four Artemis 2 astronauts have to practice observing Earth's nearest neighbor.
NASA will launch Artemis II, the first crewed mission around the Moon in over 50 years, on February 5, 2026. The milestone flight clears the path for Artemis III, planned for 2027, which will attempt the first human landing at the Moon’s South Pole,
NASA is recruiting volunteers to help track the path of the Artemis II mission that is sending a crew to orbit the Moon.
