MINNEAPOLIS — In need of a fresh arm after suffering a brutal, rain-delayed walk-off loss to the Twins on Monday night, the Red Sox called up right-hander Cooper Criswell to join the team Tuesday. Criswell takes the roster spot of Monday starter Richard Fitts, who was optioned to Triple-A Worcester after the game.

The Red Sox got some late-game heroics out of Roman Anthony on Monday night, but the Twins and Mother Nature spoiled the evening for Boston.
The Twins are reportedly receiving constant trade calls before the deadline from teams including the Yankees and Red Sox.
