CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) — Oregon State has dismissed men’s basketball coach Wayne Tinkle after 12 seasons with the Beavers, the school announced Thursday. Oregon State went to the NCAA tournament twice during Tinkle’s tenure, including a run to the Elite Eight after winning the Pac-12 tournament title in 2021.

Like Oregon, Minnesota has struggled to score during conference play with an average of 68.5 points against Big Ten opponents. Only two teams are scoring less, including the Ducks, who are averaging 66.4 points per game in conference play, though they've averaged 73.6 in the three games since Bittle returned from a five-game injury absence.
