Bech's older brother, Tiger, was one of 14 people tragically killed in the New Orleans terrorist attack on New Year's Day. A former college football player at Princeton, Tiger was not only Jack's inspiration to play the game, but also his best friend.

Watching the draft from his hometown of Lafayette, Bech was surrounded by family and friends, including LSU quarterback Garrett Nussmeier. He hugged his parents after he got the call while the rest of the people at the draft party cheered and clapped.

When Tiger Bech died in a New Orleans terror attack, his brother Jack sought to live out his NFL dream for both of them.
