Twenty-eight patients were at the hospital on Tuesday, and are moving to other local hospitals by Coastal Ambulance vehicles.

CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. – Health First is evacuating Cape Canaveral Hospital in Cocoa Beach ahead of Hurricane Milton. The city of Cocoa Beach made the announcement Tuesday afternoon on Facebook, noting there were no evacuation orders for the barrier islands yet.

Health First also is evacuating its patients from Cape Canaveral Hospital in Cocoa Beach, as it has done in some previous storms.
