President Trump says his administration and major tech investors have reached a deal to take over TikTok's US operations.

US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent says the US and China have only a 'framework' for a TikTok deal, which Trump is expected to discuss with Chinese President Xi on Friday.

The order signed by Trump means the popular social media app will be available in the U.S. through mid-December.
