The Charlotte Hornets have made their second trade of the calendar year, completing a draft pick swap with the Oklahoma City Thunder. Jeff Peterson and the Hornets sent a conditional second-round pick in 2030 that originally belonged to the Nuggets to Oklahoma City in exchange for the Phoenix Suns' second-round pick in 2029.

Charlotte controlled Denver's 2030 second-round pick and traded that to Oklahoma City for Phoenix's 2029 second-round pick (which the Thunder controlled). To be clear: OKC now controls Denver's 2030 second-round pick,

The Milwaukee Bucks could stand to call Charlotte, in that case. Right now, Damian Lillard, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Khris Middleton, Brook Lopez, and Bobby Portis are all hurt. They won't be forever, but they clearly need some depth and maybe one more big player to continue pushing in the East.
