Austin Reaves has continued to shine for the Los Angeles Lakers in the absence of Luka Doncic and LeBron James.

Jimmy Butler scored 31 points, Stephen Curry added 23 and the Golden State Warriors overcame Luka Doncic’s 43-point performance to beat the Los Angeles Lakers.

Austin Reaves averaged a career-best 20.2 points per game last season, and he ramped it up to 22.8 points per game from February 1 through the end of the regular season. In three games played with Luka and without LeBron, he posted totals of 28, 30, and 22.

Both LeBron James and Luka Doncic are out for the Los Angeles Lakers due to injuries, with the former yet to play this season due to sciatica and the latter missing their last three games as he nurses a left finger sprain and a lower leg contusion. Amid their absence, however, Austin Reaves has carried the Purple and Gold.
