Asteroids may have delivered Earth’s water and microbes
The asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter contains ancient, ice-covered rocks that may have delivered much of Earth’s water and possibly early microbes that shaped life here.
The asteroid named 2025 FA22 was once categorised as potentially hazardous and is said to fly by Earth on September 12.
