Caleb Wilson was a junior at Southern University and A&M College and a member of the school's famed marching band.

Southern University and A&M College student Caleb Wilson, 20, passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2025. He was rushed to the hospital at around 3 a.m.

Investigators say that Caleb Wilson, 20, a student at Southern University in Baton Rouge, La., collapsed after being hit with boxing gloves as part of a pledging ritual for Omega Psi Phi.

Caleb Wilson, a junior at Southern University, died on Feb. 27. Unsanctioned fraternity activities may have caused his death, the university said.

Police say one arrest has been made and at least two more are expected in connection with the death of Caleb Wilson.
