Voters hit the polls across the country on Tuesday, weighing in on everything from high-stakes political races to municipal funding.

Paul Dame, who was leading the party when it made significant electoral gains in 2024, faces a challenge from Sen. Russ Ingalls, who says the party has no money.

Lachlan Francis, a political consultant from Westminster, beat out Justin Willeau of Vershire for the job in a 33-12 vote at the party’s biennial reorganization.

After spending more than a decade helping Democrats across Vermont and the U.S. get elected, Lachlan Francis of Westminster will lead the Vermont Democratic Party.
