DOHA, Nov. 20 (Xinhua) -- Qatar on Thursday condemned Israeli attacks in the Gaza Strip that killed and injured civilians, warning that the strikes marked a dangerous escalation that could undermine the ceasefire in the enclave.
Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty said on Sunday that Cairo, Doha, Ankara, and Washington are maintaining “close coordination” to ensure full implementation of the Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Agreement and move toward the second phase of the ceasefire plan in Gaza.
But it remains only a vague nod. It states that if the Palestinian Authority “faithfully” carries out reforms and if Gaza redevelopment advances, “conditions may finally be in place for a credible pathway to Palestinian self-determination and statehood.”
