While Bill Belichick elevated Tom Brady on the field, the quarterback’s work ethic also helped bring arguably the NFL’s greatest coach to another level.

Kingsbury and Brady crossed paths in the NFL two decades ago, when both were in Foxboro under Bill Belichick. In 2003, Brady was in his fourth season with the Patriots and third as a starter. New England drafted Kingsbury out of Texas Tech in the sixth round of the 2003 NFL Draft.

Before Tom Brady and Bill Belichick had some kind of falling out that resulted in Brady leaving the New England Patriots as a free agent in March 2020, they became the greatest quarterback-coach duo in NFL history as they guided the franchise to six Super Bowl championships.

Belichick, now readying for his first season as UNC’s football coach, has shared 12 posts since his Instagram debut, including a snap from the fall featuring his 24-year-old girlfriend, Jordon Hudson. The legendary Patriots coach has 445,000 Instagram followers and counting.
