The Storm Prediction Center is forecasting a Level 2 (slight) risk on Thursday for parts of north and west Alabama, including Huntsville, Florence, Decatur, Hartselle, Russellville and Hamilton. A Level 2 risk means that scattered severe storms will be possible.

Storms containing large hail, damaging winds, and even an isolated tornado will be possible with the threats lasting into the evening.
