Knicks forward OG Anunoby practiced "in full" on Friday, stoking hopes he'll be back from a hamstring strain for the NBA Eastern Conference finals.
The New York Knicks have been to the equivalent of the Eastern Conference finals 11 times, including last year when they lost to the Pacers: In 1974, they lost to the Celtics in the Eastern Conference finals. In 1993, 1994, 1999 and 2000, they lost in the conference finals. The Knicks need one more win to return to the Eastern Conference finals.
Their fourth straight blowout was a 137-98 victory in Game 1 at Madison Square Garden on Monday. The Sixers basically waved the white flag with 5:19 still left in the third quarter, when Paul George joined Tyrese Maxey and Joel Embiid on the bench.
Jalen Brunson finished with a game-high 35 points on 12-for-18 shooting. OG Anunoby added 18 points and three rebounds, while Karl-Anthony Towns and Mikal Bridges scored 17 points apiece as it took the Knicks’ starters only three quarters to finish this off.
