Will Howard, once considered a fringe Day 2 to early Day 3 QB prospect, found himself unselected until the sixth round of the 2025 NFL Draft — an unforeseen circumstance the Steelers would ultimately alleviate.

The Pittsburgh Steelers still don't have a sure future starting option at quarterback ahead of the 2025 season, and that led to one analyst suggesting a trade for Tennessee Titans quarterback Will Levis.

The Pittsburgh depth chart is currently led by Mason Rudolph following the free agency departures of Russell Wilson and Justin Fields and the indecision of free agent Aaron Rodgers. The team added to its quarterback depth chart last week, however, by drafting former Ohio State signal-caller Will Howard in the sixth round.

Many are expecting Aaron Rodgers to sign with the Pittsburgh Steelers at some point in the coming months, but one insider is urging the quarterback to wait until the league finalizes its schedule before committing to any team.
