Britain's competition regulator said on Friday it has cleared Boeing's planned acquisition of Spirit AeroSystems after deciding against an in-depth investigation into whether the deal would be anti-competitive.

The UK competition regulator has approved Boeing’s takeover of Spirit AeroSystems after initiating an investigation into the anticipated acquisition.

Boeing received U.K. approval of its acquisition of Spirit AeroSystems. Boeing agreed to purchase its fuselage supplier in July 2024 as part of its efforts to improve production quality.
