The shooting happened just before 6:30 p.m. on the 1500 block of 11th Avenue South in Minneapolis. Responding officers found a man on a nearby porch with a life-threatening gunshot wound. Despite lifesaving measures, the man was pronounced dead.

According to police, officers responded to the shooting on Franklin Avenue and Lyndale Avenue South around 2:30 a.m. They found a man in his 30s suffering from a gunshot wound.

Police say a man was shot by a suspect with whom he had been speaking just moments earlier overnight in Minneapolis.
