Former India captain MS Dhoni is set to meet Chennai Super Kings' management in mid-October to decide on his participation in the next IPL season. The BCCI's new rule classifying him as an 'uncapped' player allows CSK to retain him for Rs 4 crore.

CSK's five-time IPL-winning captain MS Dhoni is to take decision whether he wants to play in IPL 2025 and get retained as uncapped player.

MS Dhoni can be retained as an uncapped player by CSK for a nominal fee of Rs. 4 crore ahead of the IPL 2025 auction.

All eyes are on MS Dhoni as he will reportedly meet the CSK's officials in mid-October in Mumbai. It is still not confirmed whether Dhoni will play in the IPL 2025 season or not. CSK will be able to retain Dhoni for only Rs 4 crore should he decide to continue playing.

Chennai Super Kings are uncertain about using the Uncapped Player rule to retain MS Dhoni for IPL 2025, as discussions with him are yet to take place.

No individual, they say, is greater than the sport. Things are, however, different if one is talking about a certain Mahendra Singh Dhoni and the IPL (Indian Premier League).

According to a report in Cricbuzz, legendary Indian cricketer MS Dhoni's participation in the IPL is still not final, and he is likely to meet CSK officials in the coming days to convey his decision.

Retired from international cricket on August 15 2020, and last played for India in the 2019 ODI World Cup, Dhoni still has a significant presence in the IPL.
