Business was brisk at Teddy's Cocina in Pasadena as wildfire evacuees ate lunch and passersby ducked indoors to escape from the brown, smoky air blanketing the city.

A new wildfire was reported today at 2:18 p.m. in Los Angeles County. The wildfire has been burning on private land. There is no information on the containment of the fire and its cause remains undetermined.

Nonprofit groups are working to distribute essential supplies to those impacted by the fires across the Los Angeles area.

Evacuees sought refuge and medical care at a Red Cross-run evacuation shelter at the Westwood Recreation Center in Los Angeles. In the hilly areas east and north of downtown off Sunset Boulevard, many homes were almost completely destroyed by the Palisades fire.

Multiple wildfires, including the Palisades Fire and Eaton Fire, are raging across Southern California Friday, leaving at least 10 dead and burning more than 10,000 homes across 27,000 acres, officials say.
