Hera mission, which is traveling to asteroid Didymos and its moon Dimorphos as a follow-up to NASA’s Double Asteroid Redirection Test (DART) mission, beat weather odds and successfully launched atop a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket.

SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket successfully launched the European Space Agency’s (ESA) Hera mission from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida.

The Federal Aviation Administration on Sunday announced it was approving just one SpaceX Falcon 9 mission, although SpaceX has submitted its mishap report into why the second stage from last week's Crew-9 mission failed to hit its planned target on reentry.
