United Nations plans to help starving people in Gaza. This follows Israel's announcement of secure land routes for aid. The World Food Programme has enough food for almost three months. Tom Fletcher says the UN will try to reach many people.

Operations in parts of the enclave were put on hold to allow more aid. It was unclear if the move would relieve the hunger crisis, amid rising deaths from starvation.

World aid groups have criticized Israel for the growing humanitarian crisis in Gaza. Israel has denied the accusations.
