Purdy was on the 49ers’ sideline in a road game for the first time since re-aggravating his toe injury against the Jaguars. He did not travel to Los Angeles on Oct. 2, and didn't travel to Tampa on Oct. 11. While he was on the sideline for last week’s game against Atlanta, that was a home game.

Brock Purdy's toe injury is slowly getting better, but it doesn't appear healthy enough for him to start this Sunday when the 49ers face the Houston Texans.

Purdy last spoke to the media on Sept. 30, although he did have a conversation with NBC sideline reporter Melissa Stark when the 49ers beat the Atlanta Falcons. Stark reported Purdy called the injury “annoying” and that he’d never dealt with an injury that lingered so long.
