The celebratory evening will include performances from Gladys Knight, Kane Brown, Mariah Carey, Green Day, Jennifer Hudson, Stray Kids, Brad Paisley, RAYE and more.

Jennifer Hudson will honor 22-time AMA winner Whitney Houston, one of the top AMA winners of all time, with a performance tribute; and country superstar and five-time AMA winner Kane Brown will celebrate the legacy of Country Music at the American Music Awards with a performance of classic and current hits.

The American Music Awards’ 50th Anniversary Special premieres on Sunday (Oct. 6). The two-hour special, featuring performances from Mariah Carey, Stray Kids and more, will broadcast on CBS and stream on Paramount+.
