A massive London march organized by far-right activist Tommy Robinson became unruly Saturday as a small group of his supporters clashed with police who were separating them from counterprotesters.

London is witnessing one of the largest far-right gatherings in decades, with nearly 1,10,000 people marching through central London in the rally, organised by Robinson.

Officers were "assaulted with kicks and punches" while "bottles, flares and other projectiles were thrown", it said in an update Saturday.
