The Washington Commanders added a notable defensive free agent on Tuesday, but one analyst isn't a huge fan of the move.

NFL free agency started Monday with something of a soft launch as players on expiring deals can begin negotiating with outside teams.

NFL Insider Mike Garafolo reports that the Houston Texans have signed Philadelphia Eagles safety Reed Blankenship to a 3-year, $24.75 million deal.

The Eagles lost several starters in free agency, while the Commanders and Cowboys had more net gains. And for some reason, the Giants were raided by the Titans.

The Houston Texans added another piece to their stout defense, signing an ex-Eagles safety to a $24.75 million contract.
