Late Saturday night, the Dallas Mavericks dealt star wing Luka Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers in a three-team trade that sent draft assets to the Utah Jazz and Anthony Davis to the Mavericks.

Denver Nuggets star Nikola Jokic was the latest to share his thoughts on the trade. Jokic mentioned that once the trade ensued, he texted Doncic. Jokic mentioned that nobody expected this move, including Doncic, but he believes he'll do a "good job" with the Lakers.

I think he’s the player for the big scene, even though I thought in Dallas, he had something special going,” Jokic said.
