Lakers jersey history No. 12 — Kendall Marshall
With Bryant out for the rest of the season once again, L.A. signed Kendall Marshall, who was the No. 13 pick in the 2012 NBA Draft, after he had been waived by the Washington Wizards.
The Los Angeles Lakers have started the season on the right foot, despite dealing with several key injuries. The team is currently without players like Luka Dončić, Marcus Smart, Gabe Vincent, and LeBron James. Even so, Austin Reaves continues to find ways to lead the team — including hitting a buzzer-beater against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
The Lakers will rely more heavily on Dončić in the early going with LeBron James on the shelf due to sciatica. James is reportedly targeting a mid-November season debut, which gives Dončić about a month of runway as the unquestioned leader of the Lakers' lineup.

Lakers jersey history No. 12 — Jannero Pargo
During the Lakers' 80th season of existence (they were founded back in 1946 as the Detroit Gems in the National Basketball League), LeBron Wire is taking a look at each player who has worn their jersey, whether it has been a purple and gold one or the ones they donned back in the Midwest during their early years.
“Luka is the 1st player in Lakers history to start a season with two consecutive 40-point games and only the 4th player in league history to do so (Anthony Davis, Michael Jordan and Wilt Chamberlain are the others),” Lakers insider Dave McMenamin posted.
