Texans expected to get back major offensive help for Broncos clash
The Texans are also expected to get wideout Christian Kirk back from a hamstring injury that cost him the past two games and four games total this season. Both players have now practiced two games in a row, so things are looking good as it relates to their respective returns to the offense.
The Texans may also have the potential to elevate recently practice squad addition, Dalton Keene, to an active roster spot vs. the Broncos if Schultz isn't ready to go. Keene last suited up for Houston in the 2023 season for one game and could have that opportunity once again, depending on how the status for Schultz falls.
J.J. Watt will get to call his second Houston Texans game of his rookie season in the broadcast booth, but this will be his first inside NRG Stadium where his name hangs in the Ring of Honor.
Safety P.J. Locke (neck) remained limited for the second consecutive day, while linebacker Dre Greenlaw (quad) remained a full participant.
The Sunday afternoon 49ers vs. Texans game will kick off at 1 p.m. ET. (Out-of-market fans can catch the game on YouTube TV 's Sunday Ticket, or NFL+.) Here's everything you need to know about how to watch this Sunday's game between the 49ers and the Texans, and get the full Week 8 schedule for the rest of the league.
