Gayle King was spotted leaving her New York City apartment first thing Friday — just hours after reports emerged she was set to leave “CBS Mornings” after more than a decade. The news anchor donned huge sunglasses as she emerged from her Upper West Side building before sunrise,

“There have been no discussions with Gayle about her contract that runs through May 2026," a CBS News spokesperson said in a statement shared with People Oct. 30.

King told the reporter, “All I can say is this: From what I’m being told inside this building…is that they want me here. They like the job I’m doing. I like the job I’m doing!”
