Billie Eilish’s “ Birds Of A Feather ” was a massive hit. It somehow never hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, but it has racked up over 3.1 billion streams and was one of 2024’s defining songs. In a new Wall Street Journal feature, though, Eilish says she frequently wanted to cut the song from Hit Me Hard And Soft.
At just 23, the pop superstar has already accumulated 44 Hot 100 hits, nine Grammys and a pair of Oscars.

"Birds of a Feather" became the biggest hit from Billie Eilish's 'Hit Me Hard and Soft' album, reaching No. 2 on the 'Billboard' Hot 100. In a new 'WSJ. Magazine' profile, the artist revealed she almost scrapped the hit entirely.
“Billie Eilish just called out billionaires in the best way possible, by putting her money where her mouth is. $11.5M in donations. She’s not a billionaire. Her estimated net worth is $50M. She just donated the equivalent of 20% her net worth. She is a role model. Pardon me while I stream all her music on repeat. She deserves it,” shared Justin.
This is the fifth single off Eilish's upcoming album, "Happier Than Ever." Billie Eilish dropped her dark and moody new single, "NDA," on Friday, the fifth song off of her highly anticipated album "Happier Than Ever," scheduled for release later this month.
