NEW YORK, Sept. 22, 2025 – Seattle Storm forward Nneka Ogwumike has been named the recipient of the 2025 Kim Perrot Sportsmanship Award, the WNBA announced today. Ogwumike becomes the first player in league history to win the award four times, having previously earned the honor in three consecutive seasons from 2019 to 2021.

Including Game 2, the Storm and Aces have equally split their six games in 2025. The winner of Game 3, which takes place in Vegas on Thursday at 9:30 p.m. ET, will face the winner of the series between the No. 3 Atlanta Dream and No. 6 Indiana Fever, which also was pushed to a Game 3 on Tuesday night.

Erica Wheeler missed a go-ahead jumper from the free throw line with five seconds remaining, and Seattle couldn't get a second shot away before the buzzer as the Storm lost 74-73 to the Las Vegas Aces to be eliminated from the WNBA playoffs.

Two days later, their captivating and gut-wrenching conclusion to the WNBA season still hurts, haunts and in some ways inspires the Storm.

The Las Vegas Aces saw their 17-game winning streak end on Tuesday in dramatic fashion, as the Seattle Storm picked up an 86-83 victory to force a Game 3 in the best-of-three first round series.
