Former Sarnia Sting star Ty Voit has reportedly been put on unconditional waivers by the Toronto Maple Leafs after two pro seasons. The Maple Leafs selected Voit in the fifth round of the 2021 NHL draft and signed him to a three-year, entry-level contract in December 2021.
Voit was placed on unconditional waivers by Toronto on Tuesday to terminate his contract, per Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet. Voit notched eight goals and 37 points in 63 regular-season games with ECHL Cincinnati in 2024-25.
