The National Hurricane Center is tracking two weather systems in the Atlantic Ocean – neither of which pose immediate risk to the United States – while Henriette and Ivo wax and wane in the Pacific Ocean.

Dexter, the fourth named tropical storm in the Atlantic during the 2025 hurricane season, also became post-tropical Thursday morning and is no longer being tracked by NHC forecasters. A tropical wave is producing minimal showers in the central tropical Atlantic as of 7 a.m. Friday, NHC forecasters said.

There’s a new tropical storm in the Atlantic Ocean, and two other disturbances that have a shot to get names as well. The National Hurricane Center named Tropical Storm Dexter late Sunday while it was several hundred miles off the coast of North Carolina. Dexter is headed away from the United States, however.
