One person is dead and several people were wounded during a shooting Saturday night at Sky Meadow Country Club in Nashua, New Hampshire.

A gunman opened fire in a New Hampshire country club on Saturday, killing one person and wounding several others, authorities said.

According to the New Hampshire attorney general's office, Hunter Nadeau walked into the club with a handgun and opened fire.

Hunter Nadeau, 23, faces second-degree murder charges after allegedly shooting three people during a wedding celebration in Nashua, killing one guest and wounding two others.

Hunter Nadeau, who appeared through a video link from the Hillsborough County jail, waived his arraignment on a second-degree murder charge, and was scheduled for a probable cause hearing on Oct. 1.

Authorities say patrons at a restaurant acted quickly and selflessly to stop a gunman who opened fire while a wedding was taking place at a New Hampshire country club, averting a worse tragedy.

Instead of a venue for glow bowling, birthday parties and family fun, the now-defunct Leda’s Light House in Nashua is set to become a $16 million standalone emergency room run by Catholic Medical Center.
