Los Angeles Dodgers star Mookie Betts is expected to return to the team sometime Saturday night after missing a game due to a death in the family, manager Dave Roberts said.

Red Sox fans will have to wait to welcome Mookie Betts back to Fenway Park this weekend versus the Los Angeles Dodgers.

The Dodgers have remained steadfast with Betts, keeping him in the second spot in the order throughout. Save for one “mental day” that manager Dave Roberts gave Betts this month and a series he missed with a fractured pinkie toe, Betts has remained the everyday shortstop.
