South Korean star Kim Soo-hyun is currently facing backlash following allegations that he was in a six-year-long relationship with the late Kim Sae-ron. The relationship reportedly started when she was 15 and he was 27 and ended in 2021.

Kim Sae Ron’s death in February 2025 has once again brought attention to rumours about her relationship with Kim Soo Hyun. These claims were first reported by journalist Kim Yong Ho before his death.

Kim Sae-Ron died by suicide at her residence in Seoul on February 16, coinciding with ex-boyfriend Kim Soo-Hyun's birthday.

Kim Sae Ron was found dead at the age of 24 at her home in Seoul on Feb. 16, 2025. Feb. 16 is also Kim Soo Hyun's birthday. The late Kim was represented by Gold Medalist from 2019 to 2022, until her drink-driving controversy. Upon the initial publication of the exposé, Gold Medalist denied the dating allegations.
