L SU women's basketball coach Kim Mulkey was "heartbroken" Thursday after learning that the man who brought her home to Louisiana -- athletic director Scott Woodward -- had been fired by the university. Mulkey found out about the decision during the Tigers' exhibition win against Langston, according to associate head coach Bob Starkey.

LSU fired football coach Brian Kelly earlier this week, and four days later, the man who did it, athletic director Scott Woodward, was gone, too.

On the "Pat McAfee Show" on Thursday, Landry added: "There's a number of bad contracts that seem to have followed Scott Woodward."
